Norhafiza Shafie

Norhafiza is currently Manager (Inclusive and Sustainable Economy Management), Governance and Local Development Division at UNDP Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam, after serving five years as Development Economist. She has developed projects in sustainable tourism, urban development, social protection, multidimensional poverty, and indigenous peoples, linking social impact with economic growth, environment, and governance. She was interim focal point for the Gender Team (2022–2023) and remains UNDP’s focal point for Brunei. Externally, she chairs Sustainable Tourism Practices, Tourism Productivity Nexus (TPN) under MPC. Previously, she served as MyCC’s first economist, with prior roles at the World Bank.
