Mariam Ghani

Mariam is the Senior Programme Manager at The Habitat Foundation, where she leads the Sustainable Tourism Malaysia initiative designed to build capacity for sustainable tourism across the country. Trained in Sociology focused on Social Justice and Social Change, she is passionate about advancing tourism practices that protect critical landscapes, support community-driven development, and inspire responsible and regenerative travel. Building on her experience leading communications across ASEAN on pressing environmental issues such as sustainable peatland management and haze mitigation, she is committed to bringing key tourism stakeholders together to drive collaboration and create lasting positive change for people and the planet, guided by the simple ethos to “Do Good, Travel Better”.
