Carla Gomez Briones is currently serving as Officer-in-Charge (Acting Head) of the UNDP Global Centre for Technology, Innovation and Sustainable Development in Singapore. In this capacity, she oversees the Centre’s work under UNDP’s Digital, AI and Innovation Hub, driving initiatives at the nexus of digital transformation, sustainability, and partnerships across Asia and globally.
With more than a decade of experience across 20+ countries, Carla has built a strong track record in shaping policy, forging high-level partnerships, and delivering innovative solutions in economic development, climate, and digital innovation.
A Fulbright scholar, Carla holds a Master’s in International Development from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from the University of La Rioja, and she is a member of Georgetown University’s Competitiveness Leadership Program.
